Arnt Roald always had en eye for this petite beauty. Whit to much charm for her small walls she always had a lot of visitors. But between all those visits, she always had a long eye to Arnt Roald.
Arnt Roald was to shy to come over, but returned her glanzing with a keen eye. Now they’re both old and can continue their glanzing uninterrupted.
This is Arnt Roald.
He is litterally raised in bad weather, and has been living in it since. He is as though as the weather out here. Winterstorms and salt sea dont mind him, but has made him weary after all these years.
Surrounded by the sea of Lofoten, and what once was a inexhaustible ocean of fish, becoming a fisherman was his only choice.
An uncountable amount of fish has passed through his four walls and have fed generations. He has seen small fishing boats become bigger and bigger, and their nets wider and wider.
Some might know him as stubborn, but he only knows himself as determined. Thats also the reason he is still standing. He eyes are shut, but theres plenty of soul inside.
Care for him.
I never go out to shoot just birds, but I always found Cormorants beautiful and mysterious. So once I got the chance to creep up on a couple in Røst, I simply had to try to take some shots😊
The Norwegian Sea Eagle, the biggest eagle in Norway.
Shot this with my grandfathers 70-200mm. Way to short to shoot birds, but one cannot just stand around and not shooing these beauties. Taken in Røst, Lofoten
Did you know that they pair for life, and have the same nest for years.
Wanna know what happened to Toralfs house.?
Back in 2015 the house was still whole, and standing. Sometime after, more and more parts from the corner of the house was disappearing. Nobody knee why, but after a while one found out. Allegedly there was an artist/photographer who had been taking down boards to use them as framework for his pictures.
Sometimes it is just wonderful to be unfocused and let the world just take its place.
